Hulbridge Parish Council maintains Kendal Park Nature Reserve which covers almost 9 acres, this is mainly woodland predominantly Ash. The River Crouch is on the northern side which is designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the Essex Estuaries Special Protection Area (SPA).
The central part of the Reserve you will find an open meadow with wild flowers adjacent to a newly built wildlife pond with a pond dipping platform. This is still work in progress and we have plans to build a picnic area.
Around the Reserve you will find an array of benches, a bug hotel, bird / owl boxes as well as the recent Covid snake.
We hope that you will enjoy this special place, but please use the designated rubbish / dog bins, keep dogs on a lead and observe the Country Code. .
